Fall and spring
Summer semester (May & June sessions) The Fitness Center is closed for holidays and inclement weather when the university is closed. RulesA valid CSU student, faculty, staff or retiree ID must be presented to the information desk to use the center. Exercise at your own risk. We recommend you visit your physician before starting any kind of workout activity. To learn how to use the equipment correctly, we recommend you register for a CSU Fitness Center orientation at the Information Desk. Minimum age to use the facility is 16. Proper training attire is required. No street clothes, open-toe shoes or boots. For sanitary purposes, unaltered T-shirts must be worn to prevent exposure of skin to mats, benches, and pads. Patrons must bring a clean towel to wipe off equipment before and after use. No chewing gum, tobacco products or food is allowed. Beverages are only allowed in sport bottles with a secure lid. No backpacks, book bags, fanny packs, purses, or gym bags are allowed in the center. Items should be secured in the locker room. Patrons are responsible for lost or stolen items. Spotters must be used on appropriate exercises. Weight bar collars are mandatory. Immediately report any Fitness Center-related injury or equipment problems to the supervisor. There's a time limit of 30 minutes on cardiovascular equipment when others are waiting. Recreation staff will not provide exercise prescription or spotting. Demonstrate respect for equipment, facility and staff at all times. Who may use the Fitness Center?Currently enrolled CSU students who have a valid CSU ID card. CSU faculty, staff and retirees may use the facility if they purchase a Fitness Center membership. The membership costs $10 per month through payroll deduction. CSU faculty, staff and retirees must sign up in 12-month blocks. No three-, six- or nine-month memberships are sold. Retirees and alumni who are Tower Society members may purchase a Fitness Center membership at a cost of $10 per month. Minimum membership will be for 12 months. See the Campus Recreation director for membership applications. No CSU dependents, spouses or guests may use the facility at this time. Academic classes will share the facility with students, faculty and staff during osted operating hours. CSU athletics use of the facility will be limited to one athletic team at a time during low use periods by CSU students. This must be cleared through the Campus Recreation director or intramural coordinator. During a semester break or summer break, the Fitness Center can be used by CSU students who attended the previous semester. Example: A student who attended during the spring semester may use the facility during the summer semester. Equipment in the Fitness Center
